Do you do walk-in's for tattoos?

We don’t usually have time available for walk-in tattoos as we’re usually booked out a few weeks ahead of time. However, keep an eye out on our Facebook page. Occasionally we have cancellations and we will post that time up as walk-in time on our Facebook page. We are always happy for you to drop into the studio for a free consult so that we can book you in for the next available appointment.

How do I get a consult with an artist and a quote?

Consults are free and in most cases, they can be done over the counter with any TOTO crew member. The preferred and best way to get a quote is to pop into the studio for a consult and have a chat to us about what youre after. On the rare occasion that a consult with the artist is needed, we will arrange that for you.

When is the next available appointment for?

That depends on the artist you’re wanting to go with and the tattoo you’re after. Some of our artists are booked out months ahead whilst others can be booked within a month or two. The best way to find out when you can get your tattoo is to pop into the studio and get a quote so that we can let you know when the next appointment for time you need is.

Will you do tattoos on anyone under the age of 18 with parental consent?

At TOTO, we maintain a strict “18 and above policy for tattooing. We will NOT tattoo anyone under the age of 18 with or without parental consent.

Can I get a design drawn up?

Our artists will only do design work for tattoos once there has been an appointment booked in and a deposit paid. Our artists prefer to design tattoos based on the reference images provided by yourself as this means that you will be getting an original design and they’re not copying someone else’s artwork. The artwork fee is included in the tattooing hourly rate.

What are your artist's hourly rates?

Senior artists range from $180 – $200 per hour. We also have apprentices available for a reduced rate. Please note that as the skill levels of our apprentices increase, so do their rates.

Deposits must be paid at the time of booking.

We take $50 per hour booked. So if you book one hour, the deposit is $50 and if you book for 4 hours, the deposit is $200. The deposit comes off your total upon the completion of your tattoo session.

Do you have flash designs available?

Sometimes we do! Keep an eye out on our Facebook and Instagram. When we happen to have flash designs available, they are posted up on our Facebook and Instagram first!

How much is laser removal and how to I get a quote?

The cost of laser removal depends on many factors such as size, colour, age and location. It is best to come into the studio any time during business hours to have a chat to us over the counter so that we can have a look at your tattoo in person to give you an appropriate quote.

Can I use numbing cream?

According to ACT legislation we are now unable to provide numbing products in studio. However, you may choose to purchase a numbing product over the counter from a pharmacy or obtain a script for a stronger product from your GP. Numbing products must be used for all cosmetic procedures, but the use of numbing cream is optional and used at your own discretion for all other tattooing procedures, laser removal and piercings.

Can I cancel my appointment?

Due to the busy nature of our studio, we maintain a strict cancellation policy. Our cancellation policy can be viewed at:

Cancellation Policy

Can I book an appointment for a piercing?

No appointments are required for piercings. However, if you require two piercers for children’s piercings, please give us a call beforehand.

Do you use a gun for lobe piercings?

No, we use the Inverness system for lobe piercings. It is a hybrid of a gun and a needle, in which the jewellery still acts as the needle. The difference with the Inverness system is that it is not a mechanized piercing gun, like you would find in a pharmacy. As it is not mechanized, the device relies on the force of the piercers hand to push the earring through – the same process as using a disposable medical grade needle when we perform other piercings. This means that the area is receiving less trauma and is more hygienic as there is no bio-hazardous “splatter” being caused by the force of an automated system. Like a gun, the jewellery is contained within a sterilised disposable capsule.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes we do! They are available in the studio and can be purchased for any amount.

How long do gift vouchers last for?

Gift vouchers are valid for 3 months from the date of purchase. This means that the receiver of the voucher will need to swing by and speak to us to book an appointment before the expiry date. So keep an eye on the expiry date!
